How we imagine home

Berlin needs housing—and lots of it for diverse groups of people. KIM is participating in making this a reality. In recent years, we have primarily built affordable housing: Since 2019, more than 1,500 affordable rental apartments (average rent under 10€/sqm) have been created. At the end of 2020, our living quarters in Paulsternstraße, with nearly 500 apartments, was handed over to the state-owned housing companies degewo and WBM ready for use, six months ahead of schedule despite the pandemic. In 2019, we completed the 1024 apartments which make up the PEPITAHÖFE project, also for WBM and degewo. We have thus shown that affordable, high-quality, and aesthetically pleasing housing can indeed be achieved.
